Ok, I've been a bad (blame it on me being a newbie...or just lazy) blogger and it's been almost 6 weeks since my last post. I am getting ready to go meet a friend at Starbucks and must clean my house which has also been sorely neglected but I will be posting a (probably) very long, get-y'all-up-to-date post before the weekend is over. Unless something really super exciting happens in which case, I'll let ya know about that instead. Enjoy, live life today, smile, and do something nice for someone. :)

Starting weight: 158.6 (2/24/11)
6/17/11: 157.0
7/15/11: 154.6

Yea!!! I have been working really hard the past few weeks and finally seeing some good results. I didn't really start trying when I first posted my weight even though I pretended I did. It's still coming off slower than I like but I'm keeping it off and not going up & down anymore. :)

On another note, I checked some old records and in January 2011 I was 161 pounds, the most I've weighed other than being pregnant, I believe. In looking at my true start weight, I feel better about how much I've lost. And, I have some pants that I don't think I can wear anymore because they are too big. :) Yea... but also kind of a bummer because they are cute.

Life in AZ

We've lived here for two and a half years now and I've seen on the news all the different things that happen during a monsoon storm - the sand storms that come through, thunder & lightning, crazy rain, etc. I've seen the thunder & lightning, witnessed the crazy rain, but never experienced the sand storms... until tonight.

We drove to downtown Phoenix to visit with a friend and her son who are traveling throuugh AZ on a road trip. As we were leaving, we walked outside the restaurant and into a wall of sand blowing as if it were Kansas during a damn tornado. Crazy!!

Normally, the sand storms don't make it all the way up to north Scottsdale but tonight it did. When we got home, everything was covered in dirt - the solar lights, the patio furniture, the BBQ- everything. I can't even imagine what the pool will look like when I check it in the morning.

Now that I've experienced that I'm pretty sure I'm good and don't need that again. ;)
