What Would You Do?

(I've got 3 drafts of blogs I've started but haven't finished and posted so one of my goals for today was to actually finish and post one - or two. Enjoy)

Ok, this show What Would You Do? with John Quinones on ABC is my new favorite thing ever! I've become quite obsessed with it (even watching all the old reruns when they replay.) The nerve and gall of some people just amazes me. The fact that people can just walk away when a person passes out in front of them, can stand by and watch a complete racist tell a woman that he won't serve her because she is Muslim and a "terrorist", watch a man spike a woman's drink and not say a word! It just hurts my heart that so many people would just sit there and let these things happen. Actually, every time I watch this show I am in utter shock at the reactions some people have toward people and situations. I love to imagine what I would do and I'd like to think that I would stand up for injustices if I were faced with them.

So, if you see a woman fall down in the street or on the sidewalk, don't walk by.  If you see a man drop something into his date's drink, speak up to him, her, or both. If you see injustice, racism, sexism, etc in any way, please step up, speak up, and reach out. You never know who might be watching.... and it's just the right thing to do!
