Life in AZ

We've lived here for two and a half years now and I've seen on the news all the different things that happen during a monsoon storm - the sand storms that come through, thunder & lightning, crazy rain, etc. I've seen the thunder & lightning, witnessed the crazy rain, but never experienced the sand storms... until tonight.

We drove to downtown Phoenix to visit with a friend and her son who are traveling throuugh AZ on a road trip. As we were leaving, we walked outside the restaurant and into a wall of sand blowing as if it were Kansas during a damn tornado. Crazy!!

Normally, the sand storms don't make it all the way up to north Scottsdale but tonight it did. When we got home, everything was covered in dirt - the solar lights, the patio furniture, the BBQ- everything. I can't even imagine what the pool will look like when I check it in the morning.

Now that I've experienced that I'm pretty sure I'm good and don't need that again. ;)
