Man, do I suck!!

I don't do resolutions because a) they never last long, b) they're usually the same every year, and c) I hate feeling disappointment in myself so why bother. However, one thing I wanted to do better at this year was blogging. Well, as you can tell, this is only  my second post of 2011 and we're just about three weeks in. Damn.

So, since I've been tweeting... a lot, I thought I'd share a few of them with you. Just random thoughts that go through my mind but aren't really long enough to be blog-worthy. Dang that 140 character limit, though!

1/18/11 Quote retweeted from Tony Robbins: There are those days when it's hard to put one foot in front of the other, but those days are the days when champions are created. ~McNally

To my friends with whom I play Words With Friends: I apologize for being a flake. I'll resume playing today (1/18/11) Stop kicking my ass & I'll play more.

On the Bachelor: I love that Brad is still seeing a therapist & says he will always work on himself. He's growin' on me more & more. (To add to that: I think it's extremely hot when a guy can admit that he's not perfect - even though confidence is sexy, too- and that he knows he can improve and be a better man, that he is a work in progress. He even brought in a therapist to work with him while on the show. I'd say he has definitely changed since his first run as a bachelor. But I still hate those crazy women (hello? Talking to you Michelle!) that do that show - with the exception of a few. (Ok, I suppose this could have been it's own blog posting.)

1/16/11 Elizabeth had just finished watching the final episode of Hannah Montana Forever. She came into my bedroom where I was watching tv crying her poor little eyes out. I think this is the 1st show that she has watched that has actually ended that she didn't grow out of. We wish Miley the best but my kid grew up watching her and really looks up to her. So stop smoking that salvia divinorum and be the great artist I know you can be (please don't become the next train wreck called Britney!)

I can't explain enough how much I love Sons of Anarchy. I've been watching from the beginning and have seen it gain popularity yet it still gets overlooked from the awards shows (what the hell do some of those execs know anyway?) However, finally!, Katey Segal won a Golden Globe for her work on it. I wish Kurt Sutter (who just happens to be Katey's husband) would win for writing because he is brilliant!!! And, Charlie Hunnam (Jax, *sigh*) is amazingly talented and underrated. And, Ron Perlman? Again, brilliant!! Seriously, I love this show. And, the tattoos. :)

1/14/11 Had a sleepover with E's girl scout troop at the AZ Science Center. Other than the chaos of lack of communication, the exhibit that didn't get turned off until almost midnight or later and kept talking and making noise, the workers that showed up at 5 am whistling (oh, how I HATE whistling!), the beeping of trucks backing up, the sounds of large bay doors being rolled up, freight elevators moving (which we were right next to), and the crappy, cold food they offered, and the price of $90 plus $12 for parking, it was great. Really. Ok, the Planetarium show was kinda awesome. And, E loved the scavenger hunt so I guess all in all it was fun for her. And she was medicated so she slept just fine. :)

Ok, so maybe I should really start expanding all my tweets on here. I had more to say than I thought. I'll tryt to be better. :)

Happy new year!

Ok, so we're 6 days into the new year and I haven't posted anything since Christmas. It was hard for awhile because I had limited access to a computer while staying at Brian's parents house.

We had a great time on vacation. Got to see so many great friends in Valencia and some old high school friends in Rancho Cucamonga. Lovely, lovely visits with all. We spent new year's eve with the besties: Anngee, Shawn, Aubrey, and Cami and got pretty drunk really early into the evening, ate some fabulous food, and rang in the new year with champagne and cider.  The one thing we forgot to do this year (which we've done every year since we've had kids) is take a family picture right after midnight or the next morning. :(  Kinda bummed that we missed out on that tradition. Actually, I didn't take too many pictures at all while on vacation this year. Not sure why; although I took a ton of pictures of the kids and their cousins. I guess it's just me that I don't want pictures of which makes me sad, too. Gotta get over that or my kids will have no recollection of what I looked like when they were growing up. All in all, a pleasant time this trip and nice to spend time with family even my grandfather (see next blog post.)
